Pool 01

Well I had quite a weekend. A friend of mine, makeup artist is entering a competition. We have to create 3 images 1. natural 2. Glamour and 3 High Fashion.

Water and the fabric will tie the images together for the series.

Now let me tell you this was no easy shoot. We had been planning this for a good 2 weeks before hand. And I have to say I really didn't get much sleep Saturday night. Running through my mind was all the hows to make this image work.

As you can see we made it work And I have to say a huge thanks to everyone involved. There was 4 people in the pool and Theresa running around helping me with lighting. And Tim manning the BBQ. Our model was outstanding, the pool was freezing and not once did she complain about anything. The most professional model I have worked with. And just nailed that look. We had a window of about 10 minutes before we lost our ambient light, so once we started shooting we couldn't stop, I got about 10 frames got the model out of the freezing pool. Wrapped it up ate some great food and headed home.

We get back in the pool in a couple of weeks to get the next image. Can't wait! This was the tough one the next couple should be fun and easier. Well that's the plan anyway. Oh and Thanks to Theresa for keeping me calm and focused when I was stressed out, your amazing.

Scary Clown

Had some fun with my beautiful wife. Theresa let me paint her up with some scary face paint. Theresa did an amazing job at being very scary.

So we went into our hall way set up a couple of flashes. Snooted SB-26 pointed at her face and a SB-800 behind her head set as wide as I could. We took quite a few Theresa was really feeling it.

Dust Storm

Got up this morning to find a strange but very cool orange glow in the sky. Had some coffee and headed to the studio to do a day of editing. Looking out the window at about 10:30,

I said to Theresa we have to go get a few photos of this its amazing.

So out into the ally out the front of the studio we went. I knew I wanted to get skin tones as close to correct so I through a couple of SB's at her and set the camera's WB to flash, so the camera wouldn't try to balance the ambient, not that I think it could have. Underexposed the background by about 1 stop to get a bit more saturation in the sky. We took a few had some fun then back upstairs to sit in front of the computer for the rest of the day.

Floss

This is a photo shoot I did with my neice Floss we went for a vintage feel with the look. Annette at Perfection in Hair in Toowoomba styled and colour her hair and did make up. Annette is a fantastic hair stylist.

Cami is a girl I work with and for her birthday I thought we would get her dressed up and have some fun. We had a great Sunday afternoon I love the photos I think she looks beautiful and a great model.
